What are your business hours?
My schedule is by appointment only, but I do shoot every day of the week and can be flexible with my hours. I understand that you may have a busy schedule and am happy to accommodate a specific appointment time based on your individual needs.
How do I schedule a shoot?
The easiest and quickest way to book a session is to send me a direct email or contact me through our contact form. To expedite the process, please provide me with dates you’d like to schedule, what your goals are for the session and final product, and a $50 deposit by credit card, which will reserve your appointment time and be credited to your package cost.
What is your re-scheduling/cancellation policy?
We understand that life happens, and sometimes you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment for reasons beyond your control. Rescheduling is not a problem and fee-free. I just ask that you give me as much notice as possible so that I can adjust my schedule and accommodate other clients. Cancellations with more than 2 weeks advanced notice of your scheduled session will not result in loss of your $50-deposit. Cancellations with less than 2 week’s advanced notice will result in the loss of your $50-deposit.
Do you charge a travel fee for on-location sessions?
Travel within 5 miles of the Denver-metro area will not incur any travel fees. Any travel beyond that 5-mile radius will add a $25 travel fee to your package cost, up to 30 miles each way. We are happy to discuss any further travel needs, should you require.
This is my first professional photo shoot, what should I expect?
First and foremost, you can expect a prompt and pleasant communication stream from me. I am happy to answer any and all specific questions or concerns, whether it’s on the phone, via Email or in person. Let’s be honest, for most people, getting a headshot is a bizarre experience. It’s human nature to be anxious and self-conscious. My goal is to set your mind at ease and create an environment that makes the process smooth, easy and stress-free. I’ll be happy to provide you with specific direction and suggestions before and during the shoot.
What happens after the photo shoot?
You will receive your best of the best digital images within 24-48 hours of your session, via an online file sharing system. First, go ahead and download them onto your computer / phone as you please. Second, and based on the package you purchased, you will then choose your favorite image(s) for full retouching and send me the DSC_ number(s) in an email. You will then receive your fully retouched digital image(s) within the following 24-48 hours. Should you require additional re-touching, we’ll be happy to accommodate you at $20 per additional retouch.
What does your photo retouching consist of?
We use Photo Shop and Lightroom and will complete basic retouching. This includes adjusting the contrast, vibrancy, teeth whitening, blemish removal and fly-away hairs. Anything additional is not included. While we are happy to tackle additional retouching requests for an additional fee depending on the requests, we may or may not be able to accommodate them. We are happy to recommend a digital retouching company if you need high-level enhancement of your photo/s beyond our scope.
How should I prepare for my photography session?
Preparing for your shoot is not a big deal. The most important thing for you to do is choose the outfit(s) you are going to be wearing for your shoot. Have your outfits laid out, washed, pressed and on hangers. Obviously, this includes bringing the appropriate shoes, accessories, comb/brush, and toiletry/cosmetic tools. Get a good night’s sleep and drink plenty of water. In addition, avoid too much salt if possible. Finally, have your hair and make-up done in the manner which you feel most confident in, if you are doing it on your own. As for your outfits, it’s best to avoid tops with busy patterns. Solid, bold, colors work best. If you are unsure of what might work best, bring what you’re debating between and I’ll be happy to help you decide. While this may sound silly, ladies, please be aware of your neck line. If you do not want to show cleavage, wear an appropriate neck line. Gentlemen, if you do not want a 5 o’clock shadow, please make sure you shave for your session.
When will I receive my photos after the shoot?
You will receive your best of the best digital images within 24-48 hours of the shoot.
Can you photo shop custom color backgrounds to the photos in post-production?
Yes! We understand that many individuals and businesses booking a studio session want a certain color other than white as their backdrop. Adjusting the background color in Photo Shop (unless we already have it as a background) is included in the cost of your package.
What forms of payment do you accept, and when do I pay you?
We accept cash, check and credit card. Your deposit of $50 is due at the time of your booking and will count towards your final cost. The remainder of your package cost is due at the time of your shoot.
